Giant gingerbread got a California makeover thanks to mighty elves of The Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel who built a life-size 1948 Ford Woodie replica. At 8 feet long, 6 feet wide, and 5 1/2 feet tall, this sweet ride is made from 150 pounds of gingerbread, 300 pounds of royal icing, and a mind-melting number of green M&Ms.
Pastry Chef Brian Sundeen and his team spent more than 800 hours creating their homage to the SoCal coast. Check out the beach scene in back complete with a lifeguard station and sand made from sugar and graham cracker crumbs. Here's hoping the hotels guest don't succumb to a wicked case of the munchies in the middle of the night.
