Happy Valentine's Day Y'all!

Today is Valentines Day.

For those of y'all who put a ring on it, are about to, or have hooked up with that special someone, it's a wonderful day filled with love and romance for you.

For people like myself who are still single, different story. We're buying our own chocolate and taking ourselves to dinner.

At any rate, I'm not hatin' on you coupled peeps, just envious that you were fortunate enough to find someone to share your lives with and I wish you the best.

Here's a link to some of my past Valentine's day musings as I continue to scarf up my chocolate and play my Luther CD's

Now where's that chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream?

Herald Examiner...VD, anyone?

Life is a box of chocolates, for some...

When I opened the Herald Examiner this morning I laughed out loud when I came across the caption on Page 19 of the daily which read,

"Need some last-minute V-D plans?"

In my youth, VD (a social disease) was not something you wanted to entertain the thought of, especially on Valentine's Day!

Was this a sly joke on the part of the editors?

Personally, I'd prefer a box of chocolates or a romantic candlelit dinner, than a dose of you-know-what!

But it's a subtle reminder, I guess...play safe with cupid, eh?

Chelsea Clinton...turns into babe!

Well, when I received the e-mail communication from Clinton's camp, about a family reunion of three generations of Clinton women in IOWA, I was inclined to respond with a yawn and a "ho hum".

But, always game for a smidgen of off-beat humor, I clicked on the link - at which point - a down-home video sprang forth in all its kitschy glory.

Whoa, dudes!

Was that truly Chelsea Clinton striding confidently out from under the shadow of her mother, Hillary?

Oh ma God! Chelsea has transformed from a ganglin', knock-kneed adolescent, into a bodacious babe!

Is it possible that the skilled hand of a - er - make-up artist has conjured up some luminous magic for the fresh-faced innocent?

I suppose now that slick Willy is raking in some dough from book proceeds, and wily Hillary is on the long and winding road to the White House, Ms. Chelsea has a bevy of hot studs aimin' to get into her - good graces!

I can only imagine the first question the lucky young fella is asked when he's invited to the family homestead to meet good ole' Dad...

Do you inhale, son?

Would a rose by any other name be so sweet?
