Tom Brokaw...quote of the day! Was Hillary pushed out of race?

I had a dream!

Well, if you're like me, you woke up this week and suddenly realized there was no one left to kick around in the Democratic party.

Talk about a vacuum!

When queried on the issue, one top newsman was inclined to access the situation this way:

"It was inappropriate for journalists especially to try to cut the process short," Brokaw quipped from the sidelines.

"It was an appropriate issue for people to report on, in context, but there was an awful lot of commentary disguised as reporting that gave the impression that people were trying to shove her out of the race."

Is he kidding?

Of course, we were!

Tim Russert...lands big Marlin; "fin-is" for Clinton!

This past week, pundit Tim Russert was touted for landing the big Marlin...

Throughout the debates the affable political-savvy interviewer tried to pin down Hillary Clinton in respect to her vote on the Military presence in Iraq.

But, wily Hillary continued to deftly elude the probing journalist here and there throughout; until, he posed a particularly appealing question,

"Is there anything you'd like to take back?" he pointedly asked Hillary.

Lo and behold...the heavens opened, the trumpets sounded, and Hillary lamented at long last,

"Yes, that vote (on Iraq)..."

As a fellow pundit astutely noted, "Well, she floundered in the boat a bit. But you reeled her in. Tim, you landed the big Marlin!"

It was tough, but the prettiest lure finally snared her...

Now, about those tax records...

Ronald Reagan...political contributions, according to pundits!

On a talk show this past week, when Ronald Reagan's name popped up in the conversation, Tom Brokaw noted that the former president made a distinct contribution with regard to party lines.

"He created a new class of voters...the Republican-Democrat," the newsman laughed.

Democrats...2 1/2 candidates, according to Today Show pundit!

When Matt Lauer asked a pundit - Tim Russert - appearing on the Today show as a guest, how the field was shaping up for both the Republicans and the Democrats after underdog Mitt Romney's big "Win Tuesday", he opined,

"The Republicans have about 3 or 4 potential candidates. And, the Democrats have about 2 1/2 or 3."

A half? - Lauer quizzically responded...

So, who was the pint-sized candidate Russert was referring to, when he "misspoke"?

John Edwards losing muscle?

George Bush...too late to abort! Voter disapproval up!

Last night, a newsman interviewing George Bush one-on-one, noted that the President's popularity was at an all-time low in the United States.

In response to the reporter's query about how he felt about that, Mr. Bush responded,

"Well, I'm not going to bend over into the fetal position because of it," he laughed somewhat maniacally.

No, George, it's a little too late to abort.
