How to Build a Cannon (Tutorial)

      If your looking for something exciting and fun to build in Minecraft you might want to build a Cannon. In this post I will show you how to build one of these simple cannons that allow you to shoot blocks of TNT far away.

Step 1:

      Get all the necessary materials.

    The Picture above some of the necessary materials for building a this cannon. All the materials can be obtained legitly so no "hacking" necessary. Click on the picture for high resolution.
Step 2:

      Create a rectangle thats surrounds an area thats 8 blocks long and 2 blocks wide.

       Make sure this doesn't face anything that you don't want to BLOW up. Also keep it far from valued creations just incase. For even more precautions you might even want to backup your world.

Step 3:

    Add two water source blocks.

     The source blocks should be next to each other, the direction the water flows is the direction the cannon will shoot.

Step 4:

     Add redstone to the perimeter.

    Take a look at the first picture in the post and place redstone like so. Add a button to activate boosters.

Step 5:

     Load the Cannon and fire!



       A few tips: DO NOT cover the source block, this causes all sorts of problems. Push the button FIRST, then punch the floating amo. Place TNT blocks on red stone and they will instantly float.

     So this is just one way to build a cannon. Be creative! You can upgrade this cannon by adding booster racks or you can create an entirely different cannon, there are plenty of designs out there, but that is a latter tutorial.
