The "Harry Potter" franchise is drawing to a close, but its young stars' careers are just beginning. Here's a look at what's next for a few of the famous faces of the "Harry Potter" film series.
Rupert Grint- Grint plays Ron Weasley, and like that character, his focus is more on quiet living than adventure--he'll be taking some time out after Potter to do, well, nothing.
Topping Grint's list of things to do after the franchise ends is move into a place of his own. Grint recently mentioned , "I have a place in London that I go quite a bit. Eventually, I'll move out."
Daniel Radcliffe - Radcliffe, who plays Potter himself, has been a fan of the stage, and that's likely where he'll be for a while. He was recently cast in a New York production of the musical "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying."
Radcliffe has been taking dancing and singing lessons to prepare for the role, so he'll certainly be developing a different set of his talents than what he'd worked on with the Potter franchise.
Emma Watson - Watson is perhaps the most famous breakout star of the Potter series, and she's undoubtedly got a great acting career ahead of her after her stint at Brown University. In the meantime, she's been carefully choosing roles and undoubtedly wants to move beyond her Hermione Granger identity.
Watson's most recent project is a charity clothing line with designer Alberta Ferretti. The clothes are fair trade, and Watson isn't getting a cent. Sure, it's not another role in another blockbuster, but you've got to respect the actress for such a classy move. Our guess is that she'll take a bit of time off before she gets back into the acting business.
J.K. Rowling - Many Harry Potter fans were hoping for one more book and movie in the series, or perhaps even a new series revolving around the characters that they've grown to love entering the adult wizarding world. As the final movies in the Harry Potter franchise have been released, author J.K. Rowling has been the subject of quite a bit of speculation--will she relent to fan demand?
Well, not if she's a truthful text messenger. Rowling reportedly sent a text to Daniel Radcliffe after "Deathly Hallows part 1" that congratulated the young star on his performance--and promised as a "reward" that there wouldn't be any more Harry Potter features.
However, fans of the Harry Potter universe can hope that this means another book set in the same world, maybe revolving around a new group of students at Hogwarts or characters other than Potter himself.
