A teary-eyed Kirsten Dunst has checked into rehab, as she tries to get a handle on her excessive boozing, reports say.
Dunst, the 25-year-old star of Spiderman, checked into Cirque Lodge in Utah this week — the same clinic where Lindsay Lohan received treatment last year.
She has reportedly started treatment to curb her alcohol addictions and control phases of heavy drinking while on anti-depressants.
Her downward spiral gained momentum in August after the breakdown of her six-month relationship with Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell, according to friends.
"Kirsten took this really hard, was emotionally devastated, and stayed inside for days, crying," one told Daily Mail.
"On the urging of her doctors, she started taking anti-depressants, which helped her get back on her feet and meet some professional commitments."
Dunst dated Brokeback Mountain star Jake Gyllenhaal between 2002 and 2005.
She has also starred in Interview with the Vampire, Little Women and The Virgin Suicides.
